Missions & Outreach

Missions involvement is the result of the outpouring of God's saving grace to people through Jesus Christ. When the love of the Lord is present in a person's life, they are compelled to respond. That's how the Spirit of God works. First Baptist Church of Weatherford encourages you to find your missions passion and DO IT!

Missions sprang from the heart of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. He came to save ALL people groups of the world. He commissioned His disciples to take the Gospel first to their local community and then let the church spread the Gospel to the world through the missionary activity of the believers of the church.

First Baptist Church has a Missions Committee that developed a philosophy to guide the church in support of global missions. Our church's philosophy is "to obey the Great Commission to go and share the Gospel in Weatherford, first, then Parker County, Texas, the United States, and the ends of the earth by encouraging personal involvement through active participation and giving."
